Don't always get there - 999 response
Sometimes depending on why we have been tasked and resources available, change in conditions or updates from scene prior to arrival, we can be stood down; as was this case.
Also embedded a new angle to show how much is going on from the driver POV to give some more perspective on how much is going on and the concentration that goes into every drive.
Hope it helps.

night run 2 - 999 response
Переглядів 17 тис.2 місяці тому
Another short example of night time responding, a bit through town and then out on the dual carriageway. This was before I figured out how and when to turn the white strobes off in the dark.
Black and blue - 999 response at night
Переглядів 25 тис.4 місяці тому
Night time response and the responding at night has its obvious challenges..... its darker!! But the roads are predominantly quieter but still lots to consider. Interesting occurrence in the double whites at 4 mins in. Bus stopped on the approach to brow of a hill and so had to go round. Probably more i could have done to anticipate but worked out in the end. Also interesting to see the light f...
Luton by day - 999 response
Переглядів 26 тис.4 місяці тому
Crossing through Luton in the day and a much busier run with plenty of traffic, junctions and hazards to consider. Took some advice from viewers and flipped and centred the rear view camera for some realism and also no pauses, edits or comments on this one; just a straight forward run through. Let me know if you prefer this occasionally.
Town to town - 999 response

A call to the next town over and a chance to look at some of the in-town hazards to be considered.
Luton in the dark - 999 response
Переглядів 23 тис.5 місяців тому
Night time response through Luton and considerations about use of the siren at night to not disturb people whilst still being heard and seen and speed adjustment on quieter roads but dark.
Dashcam view comparison landscape #cardriving #bluelightdriving Which is best?

Just a quick side by side of the dashcam view and zoomed in slightly to see if viewers prefer that as I think the full dashcam view is a little too fisheye.
Rainy day overtakes - 999 response
Переглядів 30 тис.7 місяців тому
Out in the rain and the camera did a good job about tricking as to light conditions as it was quite dark... the internal light switched to infra red at one point. Bit of decision making around the overtakes and how these can be made easier with some simple positioning and aid of the other road users. Working my way through Hemel to the infamous Magic roundabout and highlighting some of the decisions made by me and the public to make the journey more progressive. Hope they are of some use. Getting over to Luton for a 999 call and so this is a good test of the new set up and I personally think the light pattern made a difference. I feel like luton is not good because of traffic. usually takes me 30-50 mins to do that distance when driving
Wondering is he concerned getting to the job on time or catching the emergency vehicle in front lol 🤡
Very awesome 👍
Super hero’s with the blues
Only once in my 68 yrs have I needed to you the services of a Driver like you and that was for a cycling accident when I was 16 yrs old and where some car driver cut the corner of his right hand turn as he came off a main road onto a side street, and he was completely over the center lines as I was preparing to turn right, I had already stopped at the white dashed line so I was in the center of the road. I ended up 25 to 30 meters down the road away from my Right Turn half on the other side of the road and half on the grass verge a mere 1.5 meters from a Lamp Post. Even though it was uncomfortable I tried not to move at all, until directed by the #Ambulance Staff. End result 6 weeks off work and the driver had to buy me a new racing bike. I passed my cycling test before leaving the Junior School and once of my jobs was Cycle Frame Brazier working at Falcon Cycles near the Humber Bridge, which was 25 miles from where I live in Grimsby. Thank You for your Dedication. Tony in Essex.
Rec mist. 🤡 Jesus help us
Chris, I'm not sure about where the Skoda VRS is. Someone told me you still have it and others say you don't but is there any chance you know the name of that little lightbar thing on the roof of the VRS?
Epic driving skills
Hey Chris, I noticed a few people in this one putting their hazards/4-way flashers on, is that a slightly quicker way for you to confirm they've seen you and are stopping there for you to go around as opposed to just indicating left? or does it make no difference?
That was superb to watch, the police drivers certainly know their stuff. Driving and giving commentary at 50 miles per hour is quite difficult but at the speeds these drivers were travelling at and the type of roads they were on was breath taking at times
1:10 why do you keep so much space and turn off the siren?
It’s concerning how people past their driving test
Are you real Police???
He is rapid responder for medical scenes
If another car had passed stopping him from activating his high beams or even if the driver didn’t put them on that cyclist would be screwed. Stupidity at its finest
I find the VRS to be way more beautiful than the Audi
So much for the NHS being broke.
Just watched this again. I'd give it a second thumbs up if I could.
Oh my god what a hero 😂
How in bloody hell did an emergency response take 8 minutes to get from Ashcroft to Marsh Farm? It takes me 40 mins to get there (in a civillian car)
Reckless driving by all
Is there a ‘keep up’ feeling when in convoy?
Why do you have a heart monitor and AED?
You got too close and intiimidated the other driver. What did you expect?
Ambulance car? Not for carrying a patient, not an ambulance.
Far too fast for dipped lights. Why not use lane 2?
questionable horses1:09
its was probably a traffic accident, since everyone drives on the wrong side...
What is TPAC?
How are you finding the fuel economy! Ours are awful. The 3l bmw is a better car, quicker, better gearbox handling, power and fuel economy, the Volvo is lazy
Real footage from the dash cam would be nice to see too.
I can understand the need for police to drive un marked cars but surely in the interest of public safety paramedics and doctors should be in a clear marked vehicle. Even under chase conditions if an unmarked car is giving chase in the uk it has to drop back once a marked vehicle becomes present.
Dont you have to wear your costume while driving unmarked cars?
Just seen you on Emergency Helicopter Medics. Channel 4 8pm in the UK
4:45 another idiot (white car)
YOU SHOULD BE DAM PROUD OF WHO YOU are chris, doing this while on way 999 call takes skill and you are showing us the people what like for you and from our side. keep doing this and you be at 1 million subs soon sir. supporting the nhs folks because you never know when you may need there help
Does the Audi indicators work? Never seen one with working indicators.
Already proving to be a waste of money, yet more taxpayers money down the drain.
It amazes me how some motorists pull in and the vehicle behind then passes before realising why the other vehicle pulled in. Its happened to me when I've seen blue lights (either direction) and pulled into a safe area to allow space and a following vehicle decides to pass me, then realises why I stopped and then stops causing a blockage.
Looks like an automatic
Do you get to design this yourself then? The vehicles at work (police) have a set blueprint and that's it
Why'd you drive in the middle of the road after the rolling close? Safer to be in the middle?
It's safer
At 2:14, ah yes... A typical city drive in Mexico...
Take it easy. I know your driving to an emergency, I get that, but no matter how good a driver you are, a tyre can pop at anytime!
I turn the headlights off auto during the day so they flash, found people are more likely to see those . I put this down to cars having tinted rear windows and folk using mirros and not seeing the giant yellow van approaching ..
8:21 is that HEMS??
@Chris Martin EMS I think one day you should do and upload a sponsored lap of the nurbergring in a bluelit car for an NHS charity, you deserve a day off and a chance to let rip somewhere there aren't double whites lmao
Road craft is one thing, but sustaining this level of roadcraft, under such stress, knowing every second counts to save a life is really many levels above. Never forget, after driving like this, this man then gets out the car and provides emergency medical care. Not all heroes wear capes (though I imagine this ones mechanics wince every time he shows up for a service).
i'm sure you have answered this many times, but why an unmarked ambulance? I can understand unmarked police, but not NHS vehicles?
I thought i recognised the roads. Turn out, i was right. Used to live in the area. I dunno, feels wierd to see a place you used to be in 14 years after so many years. The pub at 04:30 is great, for any viewers in the Henlow area. At least it was when i lived in the area.
6 years late to this. The YT algorithm has given it a promo. Completely agree with below comments about unmarked vehicles assumed to be police and ambulances should be marked.
